The Millcreek Mile is a one mile race for schools that feed into Skyline High School. 3rd - 6th graders at Canyon Rim, Eastwood, Driggs, Morningside, Oakridge and Upland Terrance Elementary Schools in the Granite School District are invited to participate. The race will be held on Friday, May 5th, 2006 at Canyon Rim Park (3100 S 3100 East). The first race will be for 3rd graders at 2:30 p.m. Races for successive grades will be held approximately every 30 minutes thereafter.

Boys and Girls will run together, but they will only be competing against their own gender. Winners of each boys and girls race will win a medal, and finishers 2 - 8 will receive ribbons. Members of the Skyline High School Cross Country Team will run with the children, and there will be refreshments after the race. The PTA of the school with the most participants will win a $200 donation for purchase of playground/athletic equipment.

There is no charge to enter the race, but preregistration is required. If a student is not preregistered, they will not be able to run. Registration forms may be obtained at the schools, or downloaded by clicking here. Completed forms must be turned in to the school no later than Wednesday, May 3rd, 2006.
